Second Grade Starry Night Haunted Houses
This week in the art room, second graders looked at the Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. We noticed all of the swirls in his sky and the way he painted with short brushstrokes. Next, we drew haunted houses with geometric shapes and colored them with pastels and metallic colored pencils. These came out very spooky, nice work second graders!
First Grade Rainbow Chameleons
This week in the art room, first graders learned about the colors in the rainbow and how chameleons change color based on their moods and surroundings. First we drew our chameleons with different types of lines on them and then painted them using the colors of the rainbow. These came out beautiful and are now hanging in the hallway! Great work first grade!

Kindergarten Fall Leaves
This week in Kindergarten, we looked at all of the different types of leaves that are falling outside Byam School. We learned about the different colors leaves change and why they fall off the trees during this time of year. We also looked at the order of the rainbow and explored different types of line variation. Here are the results of our rainbow fall leaves below!
